My Maytag Bravos MVWB765FW was not letting water into the machine. It progressively got worse after displaying the LF code once or twice. After a little research and disassembly of the machine, I decided to throw this valve at it. The other option was the control board, the valve being much cheaper. Install wasn't bad at all, just use your brain and take your time taking the machine apart. The connectors are very tight on the solenoids, so those take some effort. Hooked everything back up and it worked! Since our machine is only 10 months old I'll be calling Maytag for a reimbursement on the valve. Whether that actually happens I'm not sure. Stills beats waiting for a service call and probably still being out $60.
My only complaint is with ApplianceZone. I purchased on a Sunday and would expect a shipping notification the next business day. I did not get any notification until Wednesday saying it was shipped. Got delivered on Saturday. I just don't understand the shipping delay. I guess it makes sense if they take your order and then submit an order direct to the manufacturer. But making that known at time of purchase would be nice. Free shipping was a plus, would have been a bummer to pay for shipping and wait three days for it to ship.
Fixed my washer issue. First washer wouldn’t stop dripping water into the tub after wash was done, then washer started filling too slow. First washer repair for me and was a breeze.
Valve appears to be well made, it was lacking installation instructions
